Nikos Drandakis

Serial Tech Entrepreneur (Founder of Taxibeat) | Founder & CEO, Sync

Nikos Drandakis is a serial entrepreneur and one of Greece's most recognized tech founders. In 2011, he co-founded Taxibeat, a pioneering ride-hailing app that grew to facilitate nearly a million rides per day across Greece and Latin America before being acquired by Daimler AG in 2017 and rebranded as Beat. He led the company as CEO until 2020, successfully scaling it to 800 employees and hundreds of millions in annual revenue.

Today, he continues to disrupt the mobility sector as the Founder and CEO of Sync, a peer-to-peer car rental marketplace in Greece—essentially an "Airbnb for cars." Built on the premise that renters should be able to choose the exact car they want, rather than whatever is available at a desk, Sync offers door-to-door delivery and highly competitive pricing. Currently operating across Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete, and the Aegean islands, Sync is bringing the same innovative model that transformed urban mobility to the traditional car rental industry.

At the conference, Nikos Drandakis will hold an open dialogue about the leadership lessons learned from founding Taxibeat to building Sync. He will explore how technology can unlock stagnant markets, share the secrets to successfully scaling a tech team, and discuss how modern IT leaders can cultivate a culture of radical innovation within their organizations.
